Certificate of Good Standing

Certificates of Good Standing contain the date of your admission and the date the Certificate was processed.
Certificates of Good Standing can be ordered one of two ways:

Through the Online Lawyer Registration System, or

By mail:

1. Send a written request to:

2. Include a fee of $25.00 for each certificate (cash or check only – checks should be made payable to the Minnesota Supreme Court

3. Include your first and last name, license/ID number, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope

Certificates will be processed within two business days after receiving the request. If you need the request expedited, please include your FedEx/UPS account number and the certificate will be sent overnight.

Disciplinary History

Disciplinary history letters can be obtained through the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility.

Requests should include your full name, lawyer registration number, and current address. The request must be signed by the requesting attorney.

There is no fee for a disciplinary history letter.

Duplicate or Updated License Card

The Lawyer Registration Office will not accept requests for duplicate or updated licenses via phone, email, or fax.
A duplicate or updated license card can be ordered in one of two ways:

Through the Online Lawyer Registration System, or

By mail:

1. Send a written request to:

3. Include your name, license number, and address

Blank Lawyer Registration Statement
If you have not received a registration statement AND your registration fee is due within the next six weeks, you can print a blank registration statement to mail in.

Fill out the blank registration form completely. Make sure to include on the front page of the statement: name, address, lawyer ID number.

Do not use this blank registration statement if you have past due fees.
